7.9 strong earthquake shakes up Bangladesh, eastern India

A strong earthquake has hit Bangladesh and eastern India.

The epicenter of the earthquake, measuring 7.9 on the Ritcher scale  was found 35km east of Nepal's Lamjung, as indicated by the US Geological Survey.

In Dhaka and Calcutta, occupants of elevated structures were seen running down in frenzy as lofts swung.

Early reports propose harm to structures in the slopes of the tea-delivering area of Darjeeling.
