Magistrates visit Kamaruzzaman at the Dhaka jail

Two magistrates on Friday have visited dying row convict Muhammad Kamaruzzaman in Dhaka critical jail to ask him if we wanted to search presidential mercy. The magistrates arrived in the jail round 10:15am. When asked by journalists, the magistrates informed them that they have been there to satisfy the Kamaruzzaman over his decision regarding presidential mercy.

State Minister for house Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Thursday said that district magistrates would seek advice from the Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary common very quickly to grasp his resolution. “If Kamaruzzaman documents a mercy petition then it's going to be forwarded to the president. Or else, the verdict will be carried out as quickly as feasible,” he had said.
